Minutes of the REC Meeting of June 2009

The members of the Regional Executive Council of British Columbia and the Yukon Territories met on 29 May 2009. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. and was scheduled to remain in session until 4:00 P.M. In attendance were Pat Wakefield, NVP BC/YT, Dianne Mitchell, Alternant NVP BC/YT, Colleen Malinosky, chair of the finance committee, Jennifer Leenhouts, Chair of the Women’s Committee as well as the following District Directors, Paul Croes CIC/IRB, Penny Dickson North, Erin O’Neil Okanagan/Kootney, Karen Smith Fraser Valley, Sam Wiese Metro, Francine Baxter and Christine Walker Island.

The committees were determined as follows:

Note: Pat Wakefield is a member of each committee and retains signing authority on the finance committee.

Finance Committee- Colleen Malinosky Chair, Jennifer Leenhouts signing authority, and Dianne Mitchell signing authority.

Health and Safety Committee- Dianne Mitchell Regional rep, Paul Croes, and Francine Baxter

Training Committee- Karen Smith, Penny Dickson Jennifer Leenhouts and Christine Walker

By-Laws Committee- Erin O’Neil, Sam Wiese and Penny Dickson

Friendship Fund Committee= Francine Baxter, Erin O’Neil and Sam Wiese

Human Rights Committee- Paul Croes and Karen Smith

Communications Committee- Paul Croes and Sam Wiese

Delegation of duties for the upcoming president conference was discussed and assigned.

The meeting adjourned at 3:00 P.M.
